Build a more customized view of your business with new enhancements to Outreach reporting

Posted November 15, 2024

Boards want evidence of progress, Managers want to know where their teams are and where they’re heading, and leaders want to know where to celebrate and where to pivot. Reporting makes those tangible. Reporting in Outreach is a critical part of the backbone of our platform. It's where you go to understand how your team is performing, which sequences are working, and how your efforts are translating into outcomes like meetings booked, pipeline created, or closed revenue. But, we also know it's an area where customers have long asked for more flexibility. We took the feedback to heart, and did something about it.

Let’s take a look at a few new reporting features from Outreach’s latest product releases that are helping deliver more customization, flexibility, and insight into your organization’s performance.

Build your own tailored view of existing Outreach metrics with Custom Reporting Layouts

We’ve heard many times that it can be challenging to navigate across Outreach reporting to find the answers you’re looking for. Enter Custom Layouts, which enable you to look at a pre-configured set of Outreach metrics that are most important for your organization.

Custom Layouts can be found under the new ‘Overview’ tab in the left navigation of Outreach reports, and comes two pre-configured Outreach layouts: Performance and Team Activity. Below these pre-configured reports, you will now also see the opportunity to create your own layout!

To create a new layout, you can use either of the existing Outreach layouts, clone another custom layout, or start from a true blank canvas. When creating a new layout, a list of tiles becomes available which include call outcomes, email delivery, email engagement, meetings booked, meetings held, a rep leaderboard, and user overview. Tiles can be rearranged, re-sized, duplicated, or removed.

All metrics are delivered in near real-time (within 15 minutes), and contain clickable drill-ins for graphs and charts.

By default, all users have permissions to be able create new tile layouts and set them as their default, view any layouts they’ve created, and share their layouts with others. Additionally, admins will be able to set a default layout for their organization as well as set default layouts at the profile level.

More details, along with the full list of all metrics available in custom reporting layouts and their definitions can be found in Outreach’s Knowledge Base.

Leverage new Sequence Performance Report updates to take a deeper dive into your sequence metrics

The Sequence Performance Report is one of the most heavily leveraged reports in Outreach. It helps you understand how each of your sequences are performing across teams, users, and time periods.

In this release, we are adding two updates to make this report more powerful than ever: user and account pivots, and a whole set of new metrics to enhance your ability to customize the report.

With user and account pivots, you can now change the primary dimension of analysis for your sequences. Selecting the ‘user’ pivot will provide the performance of the sequence specific to that rep, and selecting the ‘account’ pivot will show the impact each individual sequence is having at the account level.

New metrics in the Sequence Performance Report are designed to help bring in many metrics that were previously provided at the individual sequence level. Using column customization, the table in the Sequence Performance Report can be customized to include any of the following:

  • Sequence Engagement score
  • Prospects Active
  • Emails Delivered
  • Overdue Tasks
  • Opt-out Rate
  • LinkedIn Tasks Completed
  • Accounts Added
  • Calls Outbound
  • Answer Rate

See which deals your sequences are creating with opportunity drill-ins in revenue attribution

Finally, back in our May release we delivered revenue attribution within our Sales Execution Report and Sequence Performance Report to show you the impact of your sequences on pipeline created and revenue closed.

Now, we are expanding on our revenue attribution by providing a drill-in of the specific opportunities that have been created or closed by each sequence so that you can assess exactly which deals your efforts in Outreach are helping to bring in. Simply clicking on a revenue or pipeline metric will now populate the list of associated opportunities.
